I have played poker professionally for many years and have made a good living at it. The thing I like most about poker is that everyone is able to play. I have met people from all walk of life -- from the unemployed to professionals such as lawyers, actors, and neurosurgeons, from 21-year olds to 101-year olds, men, women, physically handicapped people- there is room for everyone in the poker community.

If you truly want to enjoy the game, you will want to hone your skills so that you will become a winning player. There are many ways to do this. You can read books, practice on the computer, view video tapes, get a poker mentor, and of course, put your hours in at the green felt tables. Best wishes as you enter your poker career.
